Agreements of cooperation with the HEGAN Basque Aerospace Cluster and the Aéro Montréal
Aviation Valley Association has signed framework agreements of cooperation with the HEGAN Basque Aerospace Cluster and the Aero Montreal, Greater Montreal’s aerospace cluster. The agreements aim to expand trade, joint training activities and technological research among the clusters.
The Letter of Intent between HEGAN cluster and Aviation Valley was singed during AEROTRENDS 2008 in Bilbao.
The LoI with the Aero Montreal was signed by managing directors of both clusters on 16 July, during Farnborough International Airshow 2008.. The ceremony was highlighted by the presence of Ms Barbara Tuge – Erecińska, Ambassador of Poland to the United Kingdom and Ms Madeleine Caron, Quebec Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade.
The agreements focus on the exchange of information about the product and service offerings and the needs of cluster members; about the possibilities of taking part in local and international projects and programs; and about training, conferences, seminars or cooperation days. They also target the joint organization of economic missions or analyst meetings; defining potential research projects within national and EU framework programs; and cooperation in training aerospace workers through the pooling of resources such as education institutions and specialized companies.
